The Haunting Sounds of Christmas
I love Hallmark Christmas movies. But when they begin airing each October, I find myself wishing the channel would release more stories set in the fall and, especially, on Halloween. So, I wrote the movie I wished I could see.
Hallmark scripts have nine acts, to allow for commercial breaks, so I’ll be releasing an act every Friday in September and October — with the final act being released on Halloween itself. What’s it about?
An international sales rep at a Christmas wholesaler is pulled from the safety of her cubicle and tasked with creating their very first product for Halloween: a retro sound effects cassette. Working with the owner of a recording studio, who is himself struggling with a mercurial new wave band, she must embrace her creative spirit and lean into the feelings that truly scare her in order to finish the project before falling leaves become falling snow.
I hope you enjoy it.
